Die Berlin British School ist eine englisch-sprachige internationale Ganztagsschule für Kinder von 3 bis 18 Jahren in Berlin - Charlottenburg und öffnet am Dienstag, den 18. Januar 2011 in der Zeit von 13.00 bis 16.00 Uhr ihre Pforten, um interessierten Familien die Schule während des normalen Schulbetriebs zu präsentieren.
Es finden Schultouren, sowie kurze Präsentationen der jeweiligen Leiter des Kindergartens/der Vorschule, der Grundschule und Oberschule zum Lehrplan der Berlin British School statt. Die BBS folgt dem englischen Lehrplan und bietet das IGCSE (entspricht dem deutschen Mittleren Schulabschluss) und das Internationale Bakkalaureat (IB) Diplom an. Die Abschlüsse der Berlin British School sind nicht nur in Deutschland, sondern weltweit anerkannt.
Man setzt auf eine ganzheitliche Erziehung der Kinder, in dem man den Schülern auch über den regulären Lehrplan hinaus ein besonderes außerschulisches Programm mit Sport, Musik und Kunst anbietet. Die Berlin British School ist überaus stolz auf die hervorragenden Prüfungsresultate seiner Schüler. Ein Besuch der Schule ist empfehlenswert.
Berlin British School e.V. (BBS) is an independent international English speaking school for children aged 3 to 18. The academic programme at BBS is based on the English National Curriculum and prepares students for the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) and the International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma. Both qualifications are recognised and respected in Germany, as well as internationally. As a programme of learning, the IB diploma is also a university entrance qualification accepted by institutions of higher education worldwide. The language of instruction is English, with German tuition provided for native and non native speakers. BBS provides individual attention in small classes. The pass rate for IGCSE and IB is almost 100%, which reflects the high academic standards of the school. Its international teaching body is highly motivated and specialised in delivering the curriculum and consists of almost 100% English native speakers. The students at BBS wear school uniform.
An IB World School and certified by the Cambridge International Examsboard, BBS is an accredited member of COBIS (Council Of British International Schools) and ECIS (European Council Of International Schools).
The BBS governing body consists of members of the BBS Verein, parent representatives, the Head and a member of staff, all of whom advise School Management on running the school.
Berlin British School is centrally located in Berlin - Charlottenburg and consists of three sites (Lower School, Middle School und Senior School), that are located close to each other and contribute to a family atmosphere.
